Description
A painted kidney-shaped dressing table in the Louis XV revival style. The piece is constructed from wood with a cream ivory-toned painted finish and features a curved top surface with a central rear gallery. The frieze contains five drawers: a single wide central drawer and two stacked drawers within each pedestal. The drawer fronts are decorated with applied composition scroll and bead moldings, with the central drawer featuring a floral boss at the centre. Each drawer is fitted with dark-patinated metal drop-pull handles on decorative backplates. The unit is supported by four slender cabriole legs, with the front legs terminating in carved acanthus leaf detailing at the knees. A small yellow and red adhesive label depicting fruit is present on the right-hand side panel.
