Description
This lot comprises a wide-brimmed black felt fedora hat accompanied by original accessories and a protective storage case. The hat is constructed from black felt, featuring a matching grosgrain ribbon hatband. A circular black metal emblem is pinned to the ribbon, depicting a stylized M within a larger M framework. The interior of the hat contains a black fabric sweatband with a woven label. The label features a printed white inscription reading MAISON over MICHEL and PARIS below. A secondary small black tag to the right is embroidered with the letter M.
The lot includes a curved wooden hat brush with natural bristles, featuring a stamped MM logo on the handle. A white fabric dust bag and various card inserts are present, all bearing the Maison Michel Paris name and logo. The collection is housed in a clear plastic square storage case with a central molded circular MM logo. The hat is a size M.
Condition report:
The hat and accessories appear to be in excellent condition. The black felt maintains its form with no visible crushing, staining, or surface wear (photo 2). The grosgrain ribbon is crisp and the metal logo hardware is secure and free of scratches (photo 2). The interior label and sweatband show no signs of use or soiling (photo 3). The wooden brush handle and bristles appear unused (photo 4). The clear plastic storage case shows minor surface scuffing and light scratches consistent with handling and storage (photo 5).
