Lot 27:
Description
A life-sized anatomical model of a human adult skull, constructed from a white synthetic resin. The model features a removable calvarium secured by three magnets at the cranial vault, and an articulated mandible attached via a metal spring mechanism to the skull base. The cranium and jaw are extensively numbered with black printed numerals for anatomical study, including numbers 1 to 55 across various landmarks. The external surfaces show highlighted orange-brown suture lines, including the coronal, sagittal, and lambdoid sutures. The internal cranial base is detailed with numbered foramina and fossae, and the hard palate is similarly marked. The model includes a full set of synthetic teeth. A standard 250ml beverage can is shown alongside the item for scale.
Condition report:
The model appears to be in excellent condition with no visible chips or fractures to the resin (photo 1). The magnetic attachment points for the skull cap are present and functional (photo 3). The metal spring for the mandible retains tension and is securely fixed (photo 4). All teeth, including the molars and incisors, appear intact and present (photo 2). The printed numbering is clear and legible throughout.
