Lot 117:
Description
A contemporary gate-leg dining table constructed from light-coloured wood-effect veneer with a straight-grain pattern. The table features a double-leaf drop-leaf design with a rounded rectangular profile when fully extended. The base consists of a central fixed narrow section supported by two swing-out gate legs that pivot to support the leaves. The legs are simple rectangular block forms. The design allows the piece to function as a slim console when closed, a small dining table with one leaf raised, or a full dining table when completely open. The table extends to 163.5cm.
Condition report:
The table is in good used condition. There are minor chips and scuffs to the veneer along the bottom edges of the base panels (photo 1). The hinges show slight misalignment where the leaves meet the central fixed section (photo 3). The veneered surfaces show a uniform colour with light wear consistent with use.
