Description
A pair of lounge armchairs featuring a modernist design with distinctive V-shaped compass leg supports. The frames are constructed from solid teak with a rectangular profile, supporting an upholstered seat and back. The chairs are finished in a light beige velvet fabric, including cylindrical bolster armrests that are upholstered to match the seat and back cushions. The construction features thick wooden side frames that integrate the legs and arm supports, with the upholstered components nestled within the timber structure. This pair is for commercial use only.
Condition report:
The upholstery shows significant water staining and spotting to the lower back and seat area on one chair (photos 8 and 9). A linear abrasion with pulled threads is visible on one seat cushion (photo 7). The velvet pile exhibits general surface dirt and bruising throughout. The timber frames show a significant gouge with loss of wood on one leg near the base, exposing the lighter interior grain (photo 10). Various minor scuffs and nicks are present on the lower legs and arm supports consistent with use.
