Description
A Jean Dubost Laguiole cheese service set presented in a light wood carrying case with a brown plastic handle. The set comprises assorted stainless steel service pieces including six small forked knives, one large forked cheese knife, and one cheese cleaver. Each piece features off-white acrylic handles with brass bolsters, three rivets, and the traditional bee motif on the spring. The blades are stamped with a script ‘Laguiole’ above ‘Jean Dubost’ and ‘FRANCE’. The wooden case features a black printed oval logo on the lid reading ‘LAGUIOLE’, ‘Jean Dubost’, and ‘FRANCE’ around a central bee device. The interior contains a removable wooden cutting board with two metal handles, branded ‘Fromage’ in the lower right corner, and a circular clear acrylic serving plate inset.
Condition report:
The set is in very good condition with no visible signs of use. The stainless steel blades retain a high-polish finish with no evidence of sharpening or scratching (photo 2). The acrylic handles and brass bolsters appear intact without cracking or tarnish. The wooden case and cutting board show minor shelf wear and light surface abrasions consistent with storage (photo 1). The acrylic plate is clear and free from cutting marks.
