Description
A solitaire diamond engagement ring featuring a yellow metal shank and a contrasting white metal head. The central round brilliant-cut diamond is set in an eight-prong coronet mount with tapered shoulders featuring decorative openwork piercings. The interior of the shank bears an impressed mark reading 18Ct, indicating 18 carat gold purity. The diamond shows characteristics of an older cut, such as an Old European or early modern brilliant, with a visible culet and proportions consistent with mid-20th-century jewellery design. The white metal setting appears to be constructed of platinum or white gold to complement the stone’s appearance.
