Description
A collection of assorted framed paintings, comprising six works in various media including oil on canvas, oil on board, and watercolour on paper. The lot includes a thick impasto oil on board titled Winter Sky, Totterdown, dated 1991. The lower right corner is monogrammed BT in blue paint. An adhesive gallery label is present on the verso from Anthony Hepworth Fine Art, 15 York Street, Bath, identifying the artist as Barrington Moore Tabb. A second oil on board landscape depicts cattle by water, bearing the signature W.A. Newman in the lower right. A verso label from A. R. Whibley & Son, Worthing, gives the title Cattle Grazing By A Pond and the artist as William A. Newman.
The assortment further includes a large oil on canvas park scene with a gnarled tree, a figure, and a dog, signed n Alexander in the lower left. A maritime oil on board is signed E. M. Reid in the lower right. A coastal oil on paper features the signature A Fishley and the date 1906 in the lower left. The final work is an unsigned oil on board landscape showing a stand of trees on a hill. The paintings are housed in assorted frames, including ornate gilt plaster, dark wood with gold-tone slips, and simple off-white wooden frames.

Condition report:
The oil on canvas by Alexander exhibits significant paint loss and flaking, particularly along the bottom edge and upper right corner (photo 12, 14, 15). The Newman landscape shows pronounced craquelure across the entire paint surface (photo 4, 5). The A. Fishley watercolour has visible foxing and discolouration to the paper support, with surface abrasions to the lower right (photo 2, 3). The unsigned tree landscape has visible surface grime and the gilt frame has a large crack to the lower moulding and various losses to the plaster ornaments (photo 11). The Tabb painting has some paint loss to the frame (photo 6). The maritime scene by Reid appears in stable condition with no visible faults to the board or frame (photo 16).
