Description
This lot comprises a pair of framed mixed media drawings on paper by Adam Norton. Both works depict crows in a gestural, expressive style. The first drawing shows a standing crow facing left, rendered in black ink wash with white highlights and fine line work. It is signed and dated ADAM NORTON Jan 96 in the lower right. The second drawing depicts a crow in profile facing right, executed in black ink with a blue wash highlight to the wing and charcoal or pencil outlines. This work is signed and dated ADAM NORTON 96 Jan in the lower right. Both drawings are housed in black wooden frames with white mounts.
Condition report:
Minor scuffing is visible to the black finish of the frames (photo 1). There is light rippling to the paper supports of both drawings (photos 2 and 3).
