Description
A Pöttinger MP 600 A twin-chamber vertical waste baling press, constructed from heavy-duty steel with a sliding green power head unit. The machine features a dual-compartment frame designed for the compression of cardboard, plastic, and similar recyclable materials. The front of the power head bears the manufacturer’s name POTTINGER in white block lettering beside a four-square logo. The control interface includes a green start button, a red stop button, a main power rotary isolator switch, and a large red mushroom-style emergency stop dial. The unit is equipped with a 400V 5-pin industrial power plug and is accompanied by a wall-mounted CEE Norm U.K. Ltd. isolator and RCD unit. This white plastic housing features a clear flip-down cover over the internal circuitry, a large rotary interlock switch, and a yellow warning label reading DANGER 400 VOLTS and Mit Verriegelung / with interlock / avec verrouillage. The compaction mechanism utilizes a single vertical hydraulic ram that can be moved between the two chambers via a top-mounted guide rail. One chamber contains a partial roll of orange plastic baling twine. A small illegible white adhesive label is present on the right side of the power head.
Condition report:
The unit shows significant cosmetic wear and corrosion throughout, consistent with heavy industrial use. Extensive surface rust and paint loss are visible on the interior and floor of both pressing chambers (photo 3 and 4). The exterior steel frame exhibits localized corrosion and chipped paint, particularly around the door latches, hinges, and base (photo 1). The green power head has several scuffs and areas of paint wear to the front panel (photo 2). The hydraulic piston rod appears clean and free of significant scoring (photo 4). The main power cable shows some surface dirt but appears intact. The electrical isolator box is covered in a layer of dust and grime (photo 6). The unit is sold as untested and its operational status is unknown.
