Description
This lot comprises two petrol-powered garden tools by Stihl, being sold for parts or restoration. The first item is an FS 45 string trimmer featuring a curved aluminium shaft, a D-shaped loop handle, and a plastic engine housing. An adhesive label on the shaft is printed with FS 45 and various safety pictograms, while the pull-start cover bears the STIHL logo and the FS 45 model designation. The trimmer head is fitted with a line spool and an orange plastic debris guard.
The second item is a partial HT 75 pole saw assembly consisting of the engine and throttle handle. The engine pull-start cover is fitted with a label reading STIHL HT 75, and the pull-handle is embossed with STIHL ElastoStart. A small metal identification plate near the handle is stamped with the digits 1 55255878. The unit is missing the telescopic shaft and saw head, leaving the internal drive cable and tension springs exposed.
Condition report:
Both items are in heavily used condition and are sold as seen for spares or repair. The FS 45 trimmer shows significant caked-on organic matter and soil to the trimmer head and guard (photo 6). The engine housing has various surface scuffs and ingrained dirt (photo 4). The HT 75 assembly is mechanically incomplete; the top engine cover is missing, and the internal drive cable and springs are tangled and exposed (photo 3). The pull-start handle on the FS 45 is present but its mechanical function is unverified (photo 4). Both units show fading to the orange plastic components and wear to the safety decals.
