Description
A bottle of Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky, presented in its original cardboard carton. This bottling is part of the Classic Malts of Scotland series from the Highland region.
The main printed adhesive label on the bottle is titled Dalwhinnie in cursive script and SINGLE HIGHLAND MALT SCOTCH WHISKY. It features an illustration of the distillery in a circular frame bordered by PRODUCE OF SCOTLAND. The label text states The Gentle Spirit, From the highest distillery in Scotland, set in the windswept Grampian Mountains with their unlimited supply of fresh spring water, comes this delightfully gentle, delicately smoky malt with a heathery honey finish. It includes a large 15 over FIFTEEN YEARS OLD. Volume is stated as 1 Litre e with an alcohol content of 43% vol. The base of the label reads James Buchanan and DISTILLERS GLASGOW & LONDON. A secondary white printed adhesive label on the shoulder reads JAMES BUCHANAN AND COMPANY GLASGOW SCOTCH WHISKY DISTILLERS AND LONDON. The reverse printed adhesive label identifies the whisky as one of the six Classic Malts and lists other distilleries including CRAGGANMORE, TALISKER, GLENKINCHIE, DALWHINNIE, OBAN, and LAGAVULIN. A barcode is present reading 5 000281 003603. The white cardboard carton replicates the branding and features a gold seal graphic reading CLASSIC MALTS OF SCOTLAND.
Condition report:
The fill level is located at the high shoulder (photo 1). The main bottle label shows moderate brown foxing and circular stains across the central and lower sections (photo 2). The neck labels show similar light foxing and discolouration (photo 2). The black and gold foil capsule appears intact and original. The cardboard carton shows significant shelf wear, including scuffing and loss of print at the edges and corners, light creasing, and surface staining on the front panel (photo 1).
