Description
A set of four HAY Elémentaire side chairs designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. These contemporary chairs are manufactured from injection-moulded, solid-coloured polypropylene reinforced with glass fibre. The design features a minimalist, architectural silhouette with a slightly curved rectangular backrest and four tapered legs. The chairs are designed for both indoor and outdoor use. The underside of the seat is embossed with the maker’s mark: Elémentaire chair by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for HAY.
Condition report:
The set is in used condition throughout. All chairs exhibit widespread surface scuffing, scratches, and rub marks to the seats and backrests. Several chairs show white marks and residue, possibly from paint or plaster splashes. One chair has a small chip and loss of plastic on the lower edge at the junction of the seat and backrest. The black finish shows areas of surface blooming and oxidation consistent with use.
