Lot 6:
Description
A Bresser achromatic refractor telescope comprising a blue painted optical tube assembly with a black plastic dew shield and rack-and-pinion focuser. A silver adhesive label on the focuser housing is printed with the manufacturer’s logo and reads (B) BRESSER® Achrom. Refraktor Achromatic Refractor Art. No. 96-18760 LC1 000 f=700 mm / d=70 mm. The side of the tube is also marked (B) BRESSER.
The instrument is mounted on a black alt-azimuth mount featuring a single flexible slow-motion control cable and a stylized white B logo. The mounting plate includes a directional arrow marked N. The telescope is supported by an adjustable height tripod with black metal legs and plastic feet, incorporating a central spreader assembly. Accompanying accessories include a small optical finderscope, a 90-degree star diagonal, and a single eyepiece marked H20mm. A yellow cardstock safety warning tag remains attached to the diagonal assembly, displaying a sun warning icon and multilingual text.
Condition report:
The telescope appears in good overall condition with signs of light previous use. Surface scuffs and minor scratches are visible on the black plastic dew shield (photo 1). A light layer of dust is present across the tripod legs and mount components (photo 2). The original yellow safety tag remains attached and the objective lens cap is present. Mechanical functions of the focuser and mount axes appear intact but have not been tested for precision.
