Description
This lot comprises a framed artwork by Peter Andrews depicting Market Square in Ulverston. The work is shows a cluster of historic buildings including a yellow structure with a dark-painted lower storey and a sign reading ‘J. HEWITT’, alongside the stone Market Cross. Several figures and a horse are visible in the foreground. An inscription in black ink at the lower left reads ‘MARKET SQUARE , ULVERSTON’ and is signed ‘PeterAndrews’. The artwork is presented in a grey card mount and a black wooden frame.
Frame size: 44 x 35cm.
Condition report:
General toning is visible across the paper surface consistent with age (photo 1). Minor scuffing and dust are present on the black wooden frame and glass (photo 1). No evidence of foxing or water damage is visible to the paper or mount.
