Description
This lot comprises a pair of gold-plated copper commemorative medals issued in 2016. The first medal commemorates the 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II, featuring two profile portraits and the obverse inscription TO COMMEMORATE THE 90TH BIRTHDAY OF H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II. The second medal commemorates her status as the longest reigning monarch, featuring three portraits and the obverse inscription LONGEST REIGNING MONARCH H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II. Both pieces share a reverse design depicting the Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom above the text H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II.
The lot is accompanied by two certificates of authenticity from the 2016 complete collection. The first certificate is for the Elizabeth II Jumbo Strike, 90. Geb. Konigin Elisabeth II, numbered *H 01541* with reference 917.317.1 NAT. The second certificate is for The Longest Reigning Monarch, Die langste regier. Monarchin, numbered *A 00407* with reference 917.317.2 NAT. Both medals are housed in individual acrylic capsules and plastic sleeves.

Condition report:
The medals are in proof condition with high-lustre surfaces (photo 1). No visible wear, toning, or damage is noted on the metal surfaces. Minor handling marks and light surface scratches are present on the exterior acrylic capsules and plastic sleeves (photo 2).
