Description
A 2006 limited edition polystone collectible statue produced by Gentle Giant Studios, depicting Luke Skywalker riding a Tauntaun on the planet Hoth from Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back. The set comprises the main Tauntaun and rider figure, a separate snowy rock-effect display base, and two interchangeable heads for the Luke Skywalker figure—one featuring a face mask and goggles, and one unmasked showing the character’s likeness. The Tauntaun is sculpted with detailed reins and survival gear. The underside of the display base is printed in gold lettering with Gentle Giant Studios and Star Wars branding, along with the hand-written limited edition number 0480 / 4,000 and copyright information for 2006. This numbering corresponds with the included Certificate of Authenticity and the sticker on the base of the original packaging. The set includes the original illustrated cardboard box and polystyrene protective insert.
Condition report:
The statue components appear to be in good condition within their protective housing, though the polystyrene insert shows notable yellowing and some accumulated debris. The original cardboard box displays significant signs of wear, including scuffing, edge crushing, creasing, and minor tearing at the corners and flaps. The Certificate of Authenticity is preserved in its original plastic sleeve.
