A collection of approximately 65 vinyl records, primarily consisting of 12 inch singles and Long Play (LP) albums. The collection focuses on late 1970s to mid-1980s Pop, Synth-pop, Soul, Funk, and New Wave. Notable items include two picture discs: one by Queen featuring A Kind of Magic era imagery, and another by Wham! (catalogue number WTA 6716).
Long Play albums include Prince (1999), Dire Straits (Brothers In Arms and Alchemy Live), Grace Jones (Slave To The Rhythm), Eurythmics (Touch), Shalamar (The Look), Erasure (Wonderland and The Circus), The Monkees (Best Of), and Jean Michel Jarre (The Essential).
The 12 inch singles and EPs feature numerous extended and dance remixes, including Eurythmics (Sexcrime), a-ha (Take On Me), David Bowie (Let’s Dance, Blue Jean, and Tonight), Aretha Franklin (Who’s Zoomin’ Who U.S. Remixes), Yazoo (Don’t Go Remixes), Whitney Houston (How Will I Know), and Wham! (The Edge of Heaven and Club Fantastic Megamix). R&B and Soul highlights include Ashford & Simpson (Solid), Grandmaster Melle Mel (Stepping Off), and Kurtis Blow (If I Ruled The World).
Observed labels include MCA (Glenn Frey, MCAT 941, UK pressing), Asylum (Teddy Pendergrass, EKR 32 (T), UK pressing), Arista (Aretha Franklin, ARIST 22633; Whitney Houston, ARIST 12 656), and RCA (Evelyn King, RCAT 249). Several centre labels, including those for Teddy Pendergrass, The Style Council, Glenn Frey, and Evelyn King, bear consistent handwritten initials P.T. in blue or black ink.
