Description
A pair of Doves The Universal Want numbered limited edition deluxe vinyl box sets, released in 2020 by Heavenly Recordings and Virgin Records Ltd. These sets were manufactured in Germany under the catalogue number 00602507367299 and VBOX 3249. Each box is individually numbered with an identification sticker on the reverse; this pair includes copy 1229/2500 and copy 1018/2500. According to the front hype stickers, each comprehensive set contains an exclusive picture disc LP, a 12-inch remix featuring The Comet Is Coming, a set of three high-quality 12 x 12 art prints, a cassette tape, a set of five postcard artwork prints, and a digital download code. The reverse of the boxes lists the ten-track album split across Side A (Carousels, I Will Not Hide, Broken Eyes, For Tomorrow, Cathedrals of the Mind) and Side B (Prisoners, Cycle of Hurt, Mother Silverlake, Universal Want, Forest House). The legal text identifies the release as an EMI / Heavenly Recordings production.
Condition report:
Both box sets are in factory-sealed condition, retained within their original shrink-wrap. The exterior boxes appear to be in excellent condition. There is minor rippling and very small tears to the shrink-wrap, most notably on the top edge of copy 1018/2500. As the items remain sealed, the internal media (vinyl, cassette) and art prints are presumed to be in mint, unplayed condition.
