Description
This lot comprises four high-specification deluxe music box sets, featuring two copies each of landmark albums by The Kinks and Tom Petty. Included are two copies of The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society 50th Anniversary Super Deluxe Box Set, published by BMG with catalogue number BMGAA09BOX. Each set contains a 2LP heavyweight vinyl of the original gatefold album with new stereo and mono remasters, a 1LP heavyweight vinyl of the original Swedish 12-track version, five CDs with remastered albums, singles, B-sides, and unreleased tracks, three 7 inch reproduced picture sleeve singles, a hardback book with essays and interviews, and various reproduced memorabilia. Also included are two copies of Tom Petty – Wildflowers & All The Rest 7LP Deluxe Vinyl Edition, published by Warner Records with UPC 093624892991. These sets feature 54 tracks including the remastered original album, the unreleased All The Rest album, 15 solo home recordings, and 14 live versions of Wildflowers songs.
Condition report:
Three of the four box sets remain factory-sealed in the original shrink-wrap with hype stickers intact. This includes both copies of the Tom Petty Wildflowers & All The Rest 7LP sets and one copy of The Kinks 50th Anniversary set; these three items are in mint condition. The second copy of The Kinks set is unsealed, showing the internal hardback book and vinyl sleeves housed within the slipcase. This unsealed copy is in near-mint condition with sharp corners to the outer box and no visible wear to the internal components.
