Description
A collection of Hornby Dublo 3-rail model railway equipment of lithographed tinplate and die-cast metal construction. This carton containing an assortment of railway items features a British Railways green 0-4-0 tank locomotive with cab number 60985. The rolling stock comprises a trio of tenders in green and black liveries bearing the early British Railways lion on wheel crest and a group of freight wagons. Individual wagons include a yellow Sir Robert McAlpine and Sons London Public Works Contractors wagon, a red goods van numbered M 357450, a light grey 13T open wagon numbered M 210112, and a brown flatbed wagon numbered B 35968. The lot is completed by an assortment of 3-rail metal track sections including both straight and curved pieces.
Condition report:
The collection displays significant signs of age and play wear. The locomotive and tenders show moderate paint loss and surface scratches. The Sir Robert McAlpine and Sons wagon exhibits heavy surface rust to the body and chassis. Other wagons show scattered paint chips and minor surface oxidation. The 3-rail track sections show extensive corrosion and rust throughout which may affect electrical conductivity. All mechanisms and electrical components are untested and sold in as-is condition.
