Description
A factory-sealed 7-LP vinyl compilation box set titled The Metallica Blacklist, released in 2021 on the Blackened Recordings label. This tribute collection features 53 diverse artists covering the twelve tracks from Metallica’s 1991 self-titled album. The box features a matte black finish with artist names and track titles rendered in tonal spot-varnish. A white hype sticker on the front identifies the project as executive produced by Giles Martin and states that all profits go to charity. Participating artists listed on the cover include Kamasi Washington, St. Vincent, Corey Taylor, and Phoebe Bridgers. The set includes seven LPs and a download card. The bottom edge features a label with the barcode 602438397914 and legal text confirming production in the Czech Republic under exclusive licence to Universal Music B.V.
Condition report:
Media: Mint (M). The box set remains factory sealed, and the seven vinyl discs are presumed to be in unplayed, mint condition. Sleeve/Box: Good (G) to Very Good (VG). While the internal contents are protected, the outer shrinkwrap is compromised by several significant tears, most notably a large jagged opening on the lower left front extending to the spine. Additional tears are present on the top left corner, along with smaller punctures and abrasions across the surface. The exposed corners of the box show visible bumping and minor compression, with associated edge wear where the protective wrap has failed.
