Description
An extensive collection of jewellery and commemorative items. The lot features a significant group of boxed stud earrings, each pair labeled as Austrian crystal set in sterling silver, displaying a variety of faceted coloured stones including emerald, ruby, sapphire, and topaz tones, alongside a pair of butterfly-motif studs. Included is a suite of fossilised ammonite jewellery comprising a graduated necklace with segments bezel-set in silver-toned metal and a matching pair of drop earrings. A rectangular pendant containing an amber-type material with golden inclusions is suspended from a fine link chain. The collection contains several torque-style bangles in various designs including plain, twisted, and a tri-colour mixed-metal (copper, brass, and silver-toned) twisted version. A variety of rings are present, including a wide band, a ring set with a grid of nine clear faceted stones, and a ring with a circular medallion. Commemorative items include a cased 2006 United Kingdom £2 silver proof coin celebrating Isambard Kingdom Brunel (The Man), complete with its original Royal Mint presentation case and certificate of authenticity. Additional items include a Royal British Legion poppy pin inscribed Lest We Forget, an Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) lapel pin, a heart-shaped locket, a zodiac-themed pendant, and two small decorative spoons.
Condition report:
The collection is in overall good condition. Many of the loose silver-toned pieces exhibit moderate surface tarnish and oxidation consistent with age, particularly visible on the rings, spoons, and zodiac pendant. The boxed earrings appear to be in unused condition within their original retail packaging. The 2006 silver proof coin is housed in a protective plastic capsule and appears well-preserved; the presentation case and certificate show only minor shelf wear. One ring is an empty setting.
