Description
A Calligaris large contemporary Chinese model area rug features a minimalist geometric design. The rug is constructed with a low-pile jacquard weave, typically consisting of a chenille and cotton blend. It features a slate grey ground with a fine, textured weave that displays a subtle metallic-like sheen. The pattern consists of a large, slightly off-centre circular motif overlaid on a grid of intersecting black lines of varying thicknesses, reminiscent of De Stijl or Mondrian-inspired compositions. The edges are finished with a clean, low-profile serged border.
Condition report:
The rug is in very good condition with uniform pile and consistent colour throughout. There is no visible evidence of significant wear, staining, or fraying to the edges.
