Lot 90:
Description
A set of five graduated Le Creuset saucepans and a wall-mounted storage rack. The saucepans are crafted from cast iron with a graduated enamelled exterior and cream-coloured enamelled interiors. Each pan is designed with a single pouring spout and a turned wooden handle secured by a metal ferrule and ending in a metal hanging loop. All pans have matching cast iron lids featuring concentric rings and black phenolic knobs. The lids are embossed with the characters L E C R E U S E T and the wooden handles are branded LE CREUSET. The accompanying wooden display rack is designed to hold the pans by their handles and features a decorative cast iron plaque with foliate scrollwork and the LE CREUSET name.
Condition report:
The set is presented in good used condition. The exterior enamel maintains a high gloss with minor surface abrasions and signs of wear consistent with use. The interior enamelled surfaces are largely intact and clean with light use marks. The wooden handles show some thinning and wear to the original finish. The wooden mounting rack is disassembled; one wooden section shows a significant dark stain to one end.
