Description
A carton containing an assortment of vintage tabletop role-playing game (RPG) modules, supplements, and campaign aids, primarily published by Judges Guild and Mayfair Games under the Role Aids line. These items were designed for use with Advanced Dungeons & Dragons and Dungeons & Dragons during the late 1970s and early 1980s. The collection includes notable titles such as The Caverns of Thracia by Paul Jaquays, Wilderlands of the Magic Realm by Mark Holmer, Fantastic Wilderlands Beyonde, Portals of Twilight and Portals of Torsh by Rudy Kraft, Pirates of Hagrost and The Mines of Custalcon by Bryan Hinnen and Dan Hauffe, Operation Ogre by Michael E. Mayeau, The Maltese Clue by Paul Karczag, House on Hangman’s Hill by Jon Mattson, and Escape From Astigar’s Lair by Allen V. Pruehs and Ree Moorhead Pruehs. Other titles include The Book of Ruins, Dragons of Weng TSen, Dwarves, and Swordthrust. The items are presented in quarto format, consisting of softcover, saddle-stitched booklets with pictorial wrappers. Many covers feature artwork by notable illustrators of the period, including Kevin Siembieda and Paul Jaquays. Several booklets indicate the inclusion of maps, charts, or additional campaign materials within the text.
Condition report:
Items show general shelf wear consistent with age and use. Visible defects include edge rubbing, corner creasing, and occasional light soiling to the wrappers. Some booklets retain original retail price stickers or have small handwritten prices in ink or pencil. The staples on several modules exhibit slight oxidation. The interior contents and presence of all maps or loose inserts have not been collated or verified.
