Description
A collection of slot car racing equipment by SCX (TecniToys), comprising a McLaren F-1 1:32 scale racing system and a Rally Flash two-car expansion pack. The McLaren F-1 set, identified as the 2003 version, includes two Formula 1 cars featuring the liveries of drivers David Coulthard and Kimi Räikkönen. Accompanying the cars are various track components including a terminal track, eight standard curves, and three standard 350 mm straights. Technical accessories include a red hand controller and a power transformer labelled with Super Power Boost. The Rally Flash set, reference 69010, contains two rally cars: a Toyota Corolla in Castrol and Movistar livery and a Ford Focus in Ford and Valvoline livery. Both sets are constructed primarily of moulded plastic with metal contact rails on the track pieces. Printed markings on the packaging include the SCX and TecniToys logos, and the Rally Flash box displays a barcode 8436001934105 and confirms the items were manufactured in China for TecniToys Juguetes, S.A., Barcelona.
Condition report:
The collection shows varying degrees of wear. The McLaren F-1 box exhibits moderate shelf wear, including corner scuffing, edge crushing, and surface abrasions. The internal polystyrene tray and components appear used but generally intact. The Rally Flash box is in poor condition, showing significant tearing, cardboard loss, and structural failure to the upper section. The cars within the rally set appear to have minor surface soiling consistent with use. All electronic components and motors are untested.
