Description
A Scalextric Sport Le Mans 1966 limited edition boxed slot car set, product code C2529, commemorating the Ford GT40 1-2-3 finish at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans. The set contains three Ford GT40 427 MkII 1/32 scale slot cars in their respective racing liveries: the number 2 black car (Amon/McLaren), the number 1 light blue and orange car (Miles/Hulme), and the number 5 gold and pink car (Bucknum/Hutcherson). The collection is housed in a green presentation box featuring the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2003 logo and includes a limited edition certificate card numbered 07375 of 10,000. The cars are displayed within a clear plastic inner tray and feature detailed drivers and authentic period decals. The box interior includes a brief historical summary of the 1966 race victory.
Condition report:
The set appears to be in very good, unused condition. The cars remain in their original clear plastic housing, which bears a secondary retail price sticker of 99.99. The presentation box is well-preserved with only minor signs of shelf wear and handling.
