Description
A carton containing an assortment of official motorsport event programmes and racing magazines, primarily focused on Formula 1 from the late 1990s and early 2000s. The lot includes official programmes for the 1997 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the 1997 European Grand Prix at Jerez, and multiple editions of the United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis for the years 2000, 2001, and 2002. Also present are programmes for the 2001 Canadian Grand Prix, the 2002 Spanish Grand Prix, and several copies of the 69° Gran Premio Campari d Italia (Monza 1998). The collection further features 1994 Auto Trader British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) programmes from Silverstone and Donington, a 1988 Shell Ultra Australian Touring Car Championship programme from Wanneroo Park, and a 2003 MotoGP Cinzano British Grand Prix programme featuring Valentino Rossi. Complementing the event programmes are various Italian motoring periodicals including Auto Sprint and Rombo from September 1998, featuring Michael Schumacher and Ferrari, as well as a 2001 NASCAR souvenir magazine for the MBNA Cal Ripken Jr. 400. Web consensus indicates the lot also contains a Hi-Tech 1992 Mario Andretti A Legend in Racing card set.
Condition report:
The items appear in good, used condition overall. Many of the official programmes are housed in protective clear plastic sleeves which have preserved the covers. There is evidence of light shelf wear, edge rubbing, and minor handling creases to the magazines and unprotected programmes, which is typical for paper periodicals of this age.
