Description
This lot comprises a collection of approximately 55 vinyl LP records, largely focusing on classic rock, pop, and various soundtracks from the 1970s and 1980s. The collection features a significant array of international artists alongside a strong representation of Australian rock bands. Notable international titles include Pink Floyd albums such as The Final Cut (bearing characters SBP 237817), Wish You Were Here (SBP 234651), and Obscured by Clouds. The Who is well-represented with titles including Quadrophenia, Who’s Next (Polydor 2480 056), and The Who By Numbers. A broad selection of Bruce Springsteen albums is present, such as Nebraska (SBP 237838), Born In The U.S.A. (SBP238008), Born To Run, The River, and Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. Other international artists include Dire Straits, Supertramp, Queen, Sade, Suzanne Vega, Paul Simon, and Rick Wakeman, with titles such as Journey To The Centre Of The Earth and No Earthly Connection.
The collection also contains a notable series of Australian artists including Skyhooks, Redgum, Men At Work, Goanna, and Moving Pictures. Many albums show evidence of being sourced from the Australian market, bearing marks for Polygram Records Pty Limited and price stickers in Australian Dollars. Soundtracks and compilation albums include an orchestral adaptation of Blade Runner, The Woman in Red, and USA For Africa’s We Are The World. The LPs are stored in a cardboard box and many are encased in clear plastic protective sleeves.
Condition report:
Mixed condition. The vinyl records themselves have not been removed from their sleeves for inspection regarding surface condition, scratches, or playability. Sold as seen.
