Description
A contemporary sculptural side table featuring a biomorphic curved support structure. The central support is constructed from light-coloured wood with a natural grain, possibly oak or ash, and is mounted upon a circular polished chrome-finished metal ring base. The table top consists of a circular tempered glass pane, approximately 10mm thick, which is secured to the wooden support via three cylindrical chrome-finished metal bosses. The design is reminiscent of modernist furniture styles, particularly works attributed to Ronald Schmitt, although no manufacturer’s labels or marks are present. Diameter 60 cm, Height 50 cm.
Condition report:
The table is in good overall condition. There are surface scratches to the glass top and light signs of wear to the wooden support and metal base, consistent with domestic use.
