Description

A vintage bottling of Bowmore 12 Year Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, produced by Morrison’s Bowmore Distillery Ltd. This release is presented in the classic short-necked dumpy bottle style characteristic of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The main bottle label features the Bowmore logo in black serif font with gold bordering, a decorative crest dated 1779, and specifies the contents as Islay Single Malt. The lower edge of the label identifies the distiller as Morrison’s Bowmore Distillery Ltd Islay Scotland. The bottle has a capacity of 75cl and an alcohol by volume of 40%. It features a brown foil capsule embossed with the brand name. The whisky is accompanied by its original olive-gold cardboard presentation tube, which carries a line illustration of the Bowmore distillery and is marked as Islay Pure Malt Scotch Whisky, a terminology variation often found on packaging from this era despite the bottle label stating Single Malt.

Condition report:

The fill level is at the high shoulder/low neck, which is considered very good for a bottling of this age. Both the main bottle label and the circular neck label are intact and well-adhered, showing light age-related toning but no major damage. The capsule is original and secure. The presentation tube shows some minor surface rubbing, light creasing to the cardboard, and shelf wear to the top and bottom edges, consistent with handling and age.
