Description
Large-scale decorative floral still life painting, oil on stretched canvas. The composition features three white lilies with distinctive dark spotting and orange-toned anthers, accompanied by several unopened buds and elongated green leaves. The background consists of a mottled, impressionistic field of pale green and pink tones. A heavy impasto technique is employed on the lily petals to create a raised, textured surface, while the foliage and background are more fluidly rendered. The work is signed Hiller in dark green paint in the lower right corner. It is housed in a simple, narrow cream-painted wooden frame. 130 x 105 cm.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. The canvas is taut and shows no signs of significant paint loss, craquelure, or flaking. The surface is clean. The frame exhibits minor surface scuffs and light wear commensurate with age.
