Description
A collection of 7 inch vinyl singles spanning the 1970s and 1980s, encompassing genres such as rock, pop, soul, reggae, and early hip-hop. The assortment features many pressings manufactured in the United Kingdom and Great Britain. Identified items include The Who, Wont Get Fooled Again, Track Record label (2094-009), 1971; Michael Jackson, Take Me Back, Tamla Motown label (TMG 976), 1975; and Madonna, Whos That Girl, Sire label in a picture sleeve. Also present are singles by Queen Latifah and De La Soul, Mama Gave Birth to the Soul Children; Salt-N-Pepa, Twist and Shout, ffrr label (FFR 16), 1988; and Rupie Edwards, Ire Feelings (Skanga), Cactus Records (CT 38), 1974. Other artists represented in the lot include Boney M., Hi-Tension, Average White Band, S’Express, Adamski, Was (Not Was), Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers, and Dr. Hook. Record labels visible include Atlantic, Hansa, Island Records, RCA, Rhythm King, MCA, Fontana, Music Factory, and Capitol.
Condition report:
The records are contained within a cardboard storage box and show signs of use throughout. Sleeves consist of a mix of original picture sleeves and generic paper versions, exhibiting varying degrees of age-related wear including creasing, edge scuffing, minor tears, and occasional handwritten notations or price stickers. The vinyl surfaces show visible marks and dust; the collection has not been individually play-tested.
