Description

A substantial mixed lot of 7-inch vinyl singles, primarily dating from the late 1960s to the early 1990s. The collection spans multiple genres including Rock, Pop, Soul, Reggae, Dancehall, New Wave, and Electronic. Notable artists represented include Queen, with titles such as Save Me (EMI 5022), Football Fight (EMI 5126), Friends Will Be Friends, and Back Chat (EMI 5325); The Temptations, including Ball of Confusion (Gordy G-7099) and Bare Back (Atlantic K 11186); and KISS with Crazy Crazy Nights. Other featured artists include Kate Bush (Sat In Your Lap, EMI 5201-A), The Police (De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da, A&M 2275), Donna Summer (MacArthur Park, Casablanca CAN 131), Slade, Simple Minds, UB40, Beats International, Pet Shop Boys, Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, Spandau Ballet, Neneh Cherry, New Edition, and Jim Capaldi. The collection also includes several Jamaican reggae and dancehall imports on labels such as Penthouse Records (Wayne Wonder), Exterminator (Frankie Paul), and New Name Muzik (Tenor Senior). Pressings are primarily from the United Kingdom. Visible labels include EMI, Pye Records, Gordy, Ariola, Atlantic, Island Records, Chrysalis, Casablanca Record and FilmWorks, and A&M Records. Many records retain original picture sleeves, while others are housed in generic paper or card sleeves, some with handwritten annotations.


Condition report:

The collection is in mixed used condition. Picture sleeves exhibit varying degrees of shelf wear, creasing, ring wear, and some edge tears, notably on the KISS sleeve. The vinyl surfaces show typical signs of use and play wear; professional cleaning is recommended. Spindle wear is evident on several labels.
