Lot 140:
Description
A pair of yellow gold cufflinks, each featuring a rectangular cushion-shaped black onyx panel bezel-set with a single small round-cut clear gemstone, appearing to be a diamond, held in a square white metal box setting. The cufflinks are constructed with swivel T-bar toggles. The toggle arms are struck with a series of hallmarks comprising the fineness mark 375 for 9 carat gold, a crown gold standard mark, an anchor for the Birmingham Assay Office, and a lowercase date letter l. The items are presented in a green hinged box with a white satin and velvet-style interior. Total approx. weight 8.7g.
Condition report:
The cufflinks are in good overall condition. There are light surface scratches and minor tarnish to the gold surfaces and light wear to the onyx panels, all consistent with age and use.
