Description
A Venus model AS512C Eb alto saxophone. The instrument features a metallic blue lacquered finish to the body, bow, bell, and neck, contrasted by gold-lacquered keys, keyguards, and key mechanisms. It is fitted with white imitation mother-of-pearl key touches. The bell is decorated with a gold transfer mark depicting a stylized winged floral motif above the printed text VENUS AS512C. No serial number is visible. The saxophone is housed in its original Venus brand black fabric-covered zippered soft-shell case featuring an embroidered white Venus logo on the exterior. Included accessories comprise a matching metallic blue lacquered neck with a natural cork joint, a black plastic mouthpiece with a gold-coloured metal ligature and black plastic cap, a black neck strap, a cleaning swab, and an unopened retail pack of three Rico by D’Addario unfiled alto saxophone reeds (strength 1.5).
Condition report:
The instrument presents in very good, clean cosmetic condition, showing minimal signs of previous use. There are no major dents, deep scratches, or significant lacquer wear visible. Pads, corks, and springs appear intact. The instrument is sold mechanically untested; full playability, key regulation, and pad seals are not guaranteed. The case and accessories show minor signs of handling but remain fully functional.
