Lot 3:
Description
A collection of four cultured pearl necklaces, including one 9ct yellow gold and pearl necklace as specified. The group features a graduated strand of large cultured pearls, approximately 10mm to 12mm in diameter, exhibiting white body colour with high lustre and pinkish-green orient, hand-knotted on white thread. Also included is a necklace of irregular baroque and keishi cultured pearls with high iridescence. A further long-length necklace is composed of cream to champagne toned cultured pearls, approximately 6mm to 7mm in diameter, individually knotted and finished with a silver-toned bolt ring clasp. Completing the set is a necklace of oval rice-shaped white cultured pearls alternating with small gold-toned spherical spacer beads and a matching ball clasp. Two items are presented in tan-coloured presentation boxes with white velvet-lined interiors. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are clearly visible on the clasps from the images provided.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good overall condition. The pearls show well-matched lustre and colour within their respective strands. The stringing and knotting appear secure and intact. There is minor surface wear to the metal clasps consistent with light use.
