Description
This collection comprises professional tailoring and design studio equipment. The primary item is a fabric-covered dressmaker mannequin. The neck is marked with the size 10 and the characters K + L. The chest features the K + L logo above a mannequin silhouette. The lower torso is marked RECONDITIONED and DW, with text identifying the maker as Kennett & Lindsell Ltd, Romford, Essex. The lot also includes a white foam female mannequin torso form and a single detached mannequin leg limb. A large roll of white perforated pattern paper is provided. The collection includes two clear plastic storage crates with blue handles, identified as Really Useful Boxes. These containers house an assortment of textiles including a length of burgundy velvet decorated with hand-painted or printed metallic and multi-coloured abstract designs. Additional fabrics include bright pink, emerald green mesh, and black materials. The textile components also feature a panel of white floral lace, a length of bright pink ribbon with gold-tone embroidery and sequin embellishments, and a purple textured fabric piece with a black geometric overlay.
Condition report:
The items are in used condition showing signs of wear consistent with studio use. Mannequins have no stands. Fabrics are a mix of remnants and partially finished components. The pattern paper roll is partially used.
