Description
Two large rectangular wall mirrors of contrasting styles. The first mirror features a traditional frame finished in black with gilded inner and outer bead mouldings. The mirror plate is set with a bevelled edge. The reverse is constructed with a stained plywood backing board and a single horizontal wooden support rail, 140 x 60cm. The second mirror is a modern IKEA NISSEDAL model 150.5 x 40.5cm. It features a minimalist slim-profile white frame, likely constructed from fibreboard with a plastic foil finish. The flat mirror plate is housed within the frame and the reverse includes integral metal mounting brackets and horizontal tensioning wires. An adhesive manufacturer’s label is present on the reverse, identifying the model as NISSEDAL, part number 303.203.16, manufactured in Poland with a production date stamp of 2023-10-04.
Condition report:
Both mirrors appear to be in good functional condition. The traditional mirror shows minor surface wear and rubbing to the finish on the top edge of the frame. The IKEA mirror appears in good condition consistent with its recent manufacture date. Both mirror plates are clear with no visible signs of foxing or silvering loss.
