Description
A set of fifteen contemporary folding metal side chairs from the Macadam range, produced for the retailer Habitat. The chairs are constructed from tubular and sheet steel with a pale blue powder-coated finish. Each chair features a tubular frame with a curved backrest and a flat seat, utilising a scissor-action folding mechanism with riveted joints. Horizontal cross-brace bars are present between the legs for structural support, and the feet are finished with black plastic glides. A manufacturer label is present on the underside of the seating, bearing the Habitat brand name alongside the model name Macadam and reference numbers 250613 and 193908.
Condition report:
The chairs are in a used condition. There is visible wear across the set, including scuffing, scratches, paint and areas of finish loss, predominantly on the seats and frames. Some examples exhibit minor surface oxidation or staining.
