Description
A comprehensive collection of contemporary British Royal Marines uniforms and associated personal equipment, including both No. 1 Dress (Blues) and Service Dress (Lovat) ensembles.
The No. 1 Dress grouping comprises a dark navy wool tunic for Other Ranks, featuring a stand-up collar with silver-tone Globe and Laurel collar badges and five silver-tone front buttons embossed with the Royal Marines insignia. The jacket has a label identifying it as Jacket, Man’s No1 Dress. It includes the British Broad Arrow (Pheon) mark. Accompanying the jacket are matching navy wool trousers with a 1.75-inch scarlet red stripe down each leg, fitted with grey elasticated braces with leather tabs. Headgear for this set includes a peaked cap with a white cover, red band, and silver-tone Royal Marines badge. Accessories include a white canvas ceremonial waist belt and a pair of black leather lace-up ankle boots with plain toe caps.
The Service Dress grouping consists of an olive-drab Lovat green wool-mixture jacket with four pleated pockets and darkened bronze-finish insignia. This is accompanied by two pairs of matching Lovat green trousers and a coordinating fabric waist belt. Headgear includes three commando green berets and one navy blue beret with a red tombstone flash. Further accessories include an olive green V-neck woollen pullover and an olive green knitted woollen tie.

Condition report:
The collection is in excellent, professional-grade condition. The woollen fabrics show no evidence of moth damage, staining, or significant wear. Metal components including buttons and badges are bright and free from corrosion. The 2018 date on the primary label suggests the items are current-issue and have seen minimal use.
