Description
A set of six contemporary side or dining chairs, known as the K3 Situla model, manufactured by the British-based furniture supplier UHS Group. This set is comprised of two differing colourways: two chairs featuring a light oak-effect wood veneer finish with red powder-coated metal frame supports, and four chairs featuring a white-washed wood veneer finish with black powder-coated metal frame supports.
The chairs are constructed with curved, bentwood-style plywood backrests and seats, connected by a distinctive Y-shaped powder-coated metal bracket. This design has been noted for its visual similarity to a bow tie, particularly in its use within commercial hospitality environments such as KFC restaurants. Each chair is raised on four splayed and tapered solid wood legs, terminating in protective floor glides.
The underside of the seats retains original manufacturer labels.
Condition report:
The chairs are in good used condition, displaying standard signs of wear consistent with previous use in a commercial or domestic setting. There are minor chips to the wood veneer on the edges of several seats and backrests. The solid wood legs show light scuffs and surface marks. The metalwork is in good order and the structural integrity of all chairs is sound.
