Description
This group of modern decorative floor coverings comprises a variety of machine-made rugs and runners in traditional and contemporary styles. The first item is a long runner rug featuring a traditional Persian-inspired design with three primary medallions set within a dense floral and foliate field, finished in a palette of deep red, black, and cream. The second item is a rectangular rug with a monochromatic grey, charcoal, and silver-white palette, decorated with an intricate all-over floral and arabesque pattern around a central multi-pointed starburst medallion. The third item is a decorator rug in the style of Chanel, featuring a cream field with a prominent black Greek key border and a central circular medallion containing an interlocking C logo. The fourth and largest item is a rectangular rug with a pale yellow or cream field featuring a faint textured hexagonal pattern and a central floral motif, framed by a bold black Greek key border with black foliate scroll designs at the corners. The pieces feature bound edges and, in the case of the larger yellow rug, fringed ends.
Condition report:
The rugs are in good used condition overall. The cream-coloured logo rug shows visible surface staining and darkening across the field. The large yellow rug shows light surface wear consistent with use. The other pieces appear well-maintained with minor evidence of use to the pile and edges.
