This comprehensive collection features a wide array of mineral varieties and biological specimens in numerous forms, including raw specimens, crystalline clusters, polished points, spheres, palm stones, and decorative carvings.
Quartz and Crystalline Varieties:
The lot includes clear quartz points in both rough and polished states, smoky quartz, and citrine points. Amethyst is represented through rough slabs and tumbled stones. Rose quartz specimens include carved heart and mushroom shapes alongside various tumbled pieces. Notable silicate minerals include black kyanite fans, blue kyanite blades, sodalite spheres and palm stones, amazonite, aventurine, lepidolite, and small pyrite clusters.
Chalcedony, Agates, and Jaspers:
Featured items include a large carved carnelian heart with a central druzy cavity, several jasper varieties in tumbled and palm stone forms (including polychrome and orbicular types), tiger’s eye, and blue lace agate.
Carbonates, Sulfates, and Clusters:
The collection contains blue and orange calcite specimens, a small carved malachite figure, and a desert rose gypsum specimen. Satin spar (selenite) items include a spiral tower wand and a circular charging plate engraved with a Flower of Life geometric motif. Larger specimens include a white crystalline cluster, likely apophyllite or quartz, and a blue calcite rough cluster.
Biological Specimens:
Included is a significant specimen of white coral showing natural skeletal structures.
Storage and Display:
The collection is housed in several containers: one wooden partitioned display case with six internal compartments, a hinged glass lid, and a metal clasp; one large clear plastic rectangular storage bin; and three clear acrylic display trays of varying sizes.
Condition report:
The specimens generally appear to be in good condition, exhibiting the natural inclusions, fractures, and surface characteristics typical of their respective mineral types. Polished and carved pieces show a high-quality finish with minimal visible wear. The wooden box and plastic storage containers are functional and in good order. No provenance labels or locality information are present.
