Description
This collection comprises an assortment of fabric rolls and professional women’s wear pattern blocks, likely originating from a design studio or educational environment. The textiles include a variety of weights, textures, and finishes. Featured fabrics include a burgundy textured weave, a fine grey and white patterned fabric, and a thick shaggy grey and white textured material. Printed textiles include a multi-coloured floral pattern and a bright yellow fabric with a dark green abstract botanical print. Solid coloured fabrics are present in royal blue, bright orange, black, and a lustrous red satin-like material. The fabrics are wound onto standard cardboard cores in varying quantities.
Accompanying the fabrics are several large-diameter cardboard rolls containing professional women’s wear basic pattern blocks. Each roll features a label with technical illustrations and specifications. The identified patterns include:
A women’s wear basic unstructured jacket and block, sizes 10-22.
A women’s wear basic trouser block, sizes 10-22.
A women’s wear basic block pattern, sizes 10-22.
A women’s wear basic stretch body block, sizes 8-20.
All patterns are marked as having no seam allowances added.
Condition report:
The items are in a used condition consistent with a workshop environment. The fabric rolls show raw, cut edges and loose threads at the ends. Some rolls appear to be partial remnants. The cardboard cores show typical wear and minor crushing at the ends. The pattern labels are largely intact and legible, though some show minor scuffing, surface dirt, and wear from handling. Some lint and surface dust are visible on the darker fabric rolls.
